Our guests have enjoyed the 3/4 acre manicured yard surrounding the Guest House, the easily accessed beach and biking/hiking trails. In the winter the park trails are groomed for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in a beautiful snow-covered forest.
Sit in the yard and enjoy the country and when you feel like it use our central location to visit the many activities in the area.
The Guest House is rich in history. In the 1920s, Anton Koczorowski, the original owner of this house, lived in a log cabin on this property. He granted the use of some of his 200 acres to the notorious Al Capone. In return, the grateful Capone built this house and the nearby barn. Capone had a still and Speak Easy in the forest behind the house. Leo Koczorowski, Anton's son, has some colorful memories of Capone, including the night the feds came to "bust the still!"
